EATASA advocates for and builds awareness of hippotherapy within South Africa and beyond. We provide world class training in hippotherapy through our intensive face to face or online courses. EATASA continually strives to build relations with international and local bodies to grow and strengthen the therapeutic use of horses.

EATASA was started in 2010 with only 2 occupational therapists and has since grown to a committee of speech therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

EATASA courses comprise of both theory and practical elements. Participants are exposed to the theory of the horse, theory of therapeutic strategies and principals and the practical application of the theory with the horse and case study clients.

By registering as a hippotherapy practitioner with EATASA, you will have access to therapists across the country and be a part of a growing community of therapists who share advice and strategies to continue improving your skills.
