How do you become a member?

To become a member of the Equine Assisted Therapy Association of South Africa (EATASA), you have to:

  1. Be a student studying to become a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or speech-language pathologist with an interest in Hippotherapy.
  2. Have completed the EATASA Fundamentals of Hippotherapy course or an international equivalent thereof.
  3. Complete and send the membership form and your proof of payment to equineassistedtherapysa@gmail.com. If you are a student, please send a copy of your proof of registration with your respective University.

Benefits of being a member

Becoming a member of EATASA has many benefits including:

•   Access to recent journal articles and resources including information pamphlets, clinical forms, etc.

•   Discounts on CPD events and short courses

•   A listing on the “find a therapist” directory on the EATASA website if qualified

& Discounts on EATASA merchandise

EATASA offers two membership options:

  1. student membership (R500 per year), or
  2. full membership (R650 per year)
